The Man Who ‘ Speaks’ Nature by Dhritiman Kakati & Raktim Hazarika

Some people are born to inspire and change the world. This award-winning film is about a man from Assam who has dedicated his life to rescuing and rehabilitating wild animals. His unique ability to bond and communicate with the animals is exemplary, and his joy at releasing them back into the wild upon recovery is infectious and life-affirming.

2. The Boy Who Saw More by Faraway Originals

The Boy Who Saw More by Faraway Originals

Up in the mountains of Ladakh, lives a boy whose story, so beautifully told, urges one and all to look beyond the obvious and turn their gaze towards many fascinating universes that lie hidden in plain sight. This movie also briefly reflects upon the incredible work that the Snow Leopard Conservancy India Trust is doing in terms of educating the children and the local folk of the region.

3. The Guardians of Dampa by Laleng Mawia

The Guardians of Dampa by Laleng Mawia

In relative obscurity, the foot soldiers of our wilds – the forest guards – work tirelessly to protect our forests. One such forest guard in Mizoram’s remote Dampa Tiger Reserve, a Green Hub fellow, takes you along with the rest of the forest patrolling team into the lush, thick jungles of Dampa. Made by a forest guard himself, this film is special in its earnestness, simplicity and for the raw, virgin beauty of Dampa that it has captured.
