The vital Sahyadri-Konkan corridor, in the north-central Western Ghats, connects the Sahyadri Tiger Reserve (STR) in Maharashtra to the Kali Tiger Reserve (KTR) in Karnataka. The KTR and adjoining Protected Areas in Karnataka harbour an important source population of tigers, and the Sahyadri-Konkan corridor is the only conduit for dispersal of tigers from KTR to STR.

This film showcases the wealth of biodiversity in the corridor, and the present-day challenges to conserve it. It also presents the status of four large carnivores in the corridor, and documents WCT’s long-term efforts to monitor their presence and distribution, and strengthen the protection of the corridor.
