Four experts come together to discuss and shed more light on the serious issue of growing demand for exotic species in India, the devastating pet trade, and the need for stronger laws to regulate the trade in exotic species in the country.
Meet the panelists of the Trapped In Trade – Experts’ Roundtable:

Every year thousands of exotic animals are smuggled into India as part of the much larger and notorious pet trade and owned illegally with no accountability. It is hard to ignore the shocking levels of animal cruelty involved in the pet trade of wild species. The lack of a concerted law in India that extends protection to exotic species and/or regulates their trade is a matter of grave concern.
We, at WCT, are working towards this. Read the special WCT Blog series that we are creating on the issue, engage with us, share our content, and amplify the conversation.
